Tea time!
I finally get to draw some of my favourite characters in this scene.

Panel 1: Maida steps through a door into a spacious living room with comfortable couches and fancy carpets. The Morales-Parmar family (father, mother, and two children) sits around a coffee table filled with elaborate treats and tea paraphernalia. They all wear Sikh head coverings and are dressed in black. Maida's aunt stands quietly to one side. Mr. Morales-Parmar: "Ah, Maida! Come in! You're right on time. Sit!"
Panel 2: Maida bows as she approaches the seating area. Maida: "Thank-you, sir."
Panel 3: Maida sits down. Mr. Morales-Parmar, gesturing towards the spread: "Don't be shy! Serve yourself. Everything is vegetarian and halal."
Panel 4: Maida's aunt pours his tea for him. Mr. Morales-Parmar: "It's hard to believe it's been two months since you last visited us. How's school been?"
