Panel 1: Maida: "I must be... No, this is 219, isn't it?" She looks at the front of the door she's still holding open.
Panel 2: The boy puts his screen away and takes his feet off the table. Gurveer: "No, you're right! Come in! Come in!"
Panel 3: He stands up. Gurveer: "you must be Maida Kilwa, yeh? I'm Gurveer. We're flatmates."
Panel 4: Maida sits down at the table and takes her shoulder bag off. Maida: "Oh. They put boys and girls in the same dorms?" Gurveer: "Sometimes, yeh!"
Panel 5: He shrugs. Gurveer: "That's the shidafu-amelu for you. Everyone togevver in one big melting pot, as long as you're rich and/or powerful. We have separate bedrooms, at least."
Panel 6: Gurveer moves around the common room picking up his dirty laundry that's strewn around. Gurveer: "I'm from a sudra family myself, so it was a lot to get used to for me."
Panel 7: Gurveer: "I fink you can ask to switch to a one-gender dorm, if you want."
Panel 8: Maida: "Oh, I wouldn't want to be a bother. I'm Martian, I'll be fine."
