Chang’an, “enduring safety,” was the ancient capitol city of the Chinese Empire. The apostrophe is so alphabet-readers will put the syllable break after the G. It’s “Chang An,” not “Chan Gan.” Otherwise Chinese doesn’t need apostrophes.

Panel 1: Narrator: "Chang'an Station." The entrance to the station has a cathedral-like facade with the name of the station in bronze Chinese characters and flags of the Earth Republic. Pedestrians stream in and out of the doors and cars line the nearby street.
Panel 2: Inside is just as crowded, with passageways, staircases, and ramps full of people. Maida and Zaynab stand together next to a fountain on a lower level.
Panel 3: Zaynab is dressed in comfortable pastels for the first time that we've seen her, and she has a pink backpack. Maida is dressed in her usual black and white, with her shoulder bag in tow. Zaynab: "You'll meet someone nice, I know it!" Maida: "Actually, I think I'm done with boys for a while."
Panel 4: Zaynab sits on the edge of the fountain. Maida: "I need to worry about me. Get my own life sorted out first." Zaynab: "Oh. Right! I get that."
Panel 5: Nat walks towards them. Her uniform is crisp and dark with a bold white square on the chest. She has a big sport bag. Nat: "Heya, slags." Zaynab: "Eep!" Maida: "Hi, Nat."
