The main problem with predicting the future is that there are too many variables, and too many unknown and unknowable things. I imagine it must be easier to turn the world into a math equation if you have some control over what variables go into the calculation at the beginning.
This white board is like a powerpoint display. He’s not writing all this out every time he teaches this course. He just rolls the pen over the pre-written lines and reveals them. He can also add to it as he goes, but no one in this room is about making more work for themselves. Except maybe Maida.
