Hey! Looking at the date of the very first page on this site, Phobos and Deimos is about to hit its TEN YEAR birthday! I don’t know how to feel about that! So I’ve decided that the way to tip me over into feeling good about it is if people draw me fan art. Draw me some fan art and I will post it here all during May!

Panel 1: Narrator: "My mum and my aunt were getting by doing odd jobs helping other fugees as they arrived on Luna from Earth." Maida talks with the two of them as holograms.
Panel 2: Narrator: "No one on Earth was hiring fugees. Especially not ones with deportation orders on their records."
Panel 3: Narrator: "They weren't doing well, physically. Their bodies weren't engineered for life on the Moon."
Panel 4: There are tears in the corners of Maida's eyes. Narrator: "They decided to get the surgery to acclimatize themselves to live on Luna."
Panel 5: Narrator: "I almost got up and went straight to the space elevator. Almost."
Panel 6: Narrator: "Instead I packed up my meagre possessions and moved to Zhongshan the next day." Maida has a small suitcase and two shoulder bags. Zaynab sees her off at the door and gives her a small gift bag.
Panel 7: Maida looks in the bag. Maida: "What's this?" Zaynab: "A present, for good luck at school."
Panel 8: It's a bracelet, which Maida puts on. Zaynab: "A girl can never have too much data storage. Toya says this one has the best firewalls you can buy."
