Yeah, you don’t want to be getting a lot of blood floating free in your spaceship. It’s going to take forever to vacuum it all up.
The colour palette in this scene is wild! It’s taken me this whole scene to get to the point where I can get it to do everything I want it to. Just in time to trade it out for something new next week.
Oh, also, meet our first Kuipermiuq character. “Kuipermiuq” meaning someone from the Kuiper Belt.

Panel 1: With the airlock now closed, the kids gather together. One of them attempts to vacuum up the blood that floats everywhere. Scared girl: "What now?" This is in Varangska, the only language they all have in common. Tattooed girl: "We'll be safe if we can get to my people. We never turn someone away who needs help."
Panel 2: Tattooed girl: "The Kuipermiut don't believe in forcing another person to do your bidding."
Panel 3: Boy with the vacuum cleaner: "How do we do that? They never let any of us see how to fly this ship."
Panel 4: Tattooed girl: "Like I said-- I'm Kuipermiuq! We learn how to fly a ship instead of learning how to walk! Come on. The cabin's this way."
Panel 5: They all fly down a corridor.
Panel 6: They look over a complicated control console. Tattooed girl: "Oh. I might need some help reading this, though. These controls aren't in Varangska." Ibrahim: "That looks like Arabic! I can read a little. Maybe this is a Ghanimidian ship."
