I was going to call this ship a “qajaq,” but I’ve been told it’s too big to be a qajaq. It’s the size of an umiarjuat instead. The exterior walls are almost certainly thicker than they appear to be here. Call it a trick of perspective. Nobody cares what the inside of the walls looks like.

Narrator: "What I really wanted was a ship to take me home. It took a long time, but eventually we found someone willing to part with a ship in good repair." Ibrahim spreads out happily inside his new ship. It is cylindrical, with equipment and furniture bolted to every surface. It's about the size of a large trailer. Outside it's cold and dark and alien. Seqininnguaq stands over him with her hands on her hips. Seqininnguaq: "Aqqaluk, this umiarjuat is way too good for you. You're making me jealous."
