By the way, I’m doing a book signing and panel discussion with Kaili and Emily in Vancouver this Saturday, at Vesperia Manga and Comics on West Broadway. I’m looking forward to checking out this book store that I’ve heard a lot of good things about! The book signing is on July 19th from 2-5, and the panel should start around 3:00.

Panel 1: Maida covers her mouth in surprise. Srinivasa: "Somebody's hopin to stop protests before they get any bigger. It won't work, of course. All this'll do is fire movement up, while makin ya reckless." Maida: "Tahmaseb!"
Panel 2: Maida: "I hadn't even checked!"
Panel 3: Maida: "Can you free the others? I don't know the student leaders at other schools. but..." Srinivasa: "Confusin a bird-bot isn't quite same ting as springin someone from a prison cell."
Panel 4: Srinivasa: "I've gotta play long game here. Ya were easy. Ya weren't even supposed to be on arrest list."
Panel 5: Srinivasa, looking conspiratorial: "Someone has taken personal offence to ya, Maida. Be careful. She's dangerous. And our side still needs ya."
Panel 6: Srinivasa: "I need to go. Lots to do these days!" Maida: "Wait! She who?!" Srinivasa's hologram starts to evaporate. Srinivasa: "I'll be back soon enough!"
Panel 7: Maida is by herself on the balcony. Maida: "I still don't have anywhere to go..."
